Summer of Final Fantasy 7

So, about two months ago, back in June, Square Enix was running its Steam Summer Sale 2026, and I noticed that both Final Fantasy VII Remake and Rebirth were going for historically low prices.

I had already played Remake at launch on PS4, but Rebirth never came out on PS4.

Rebirth launched exclusively on PS5 in 2024, and later came to PC in 2025.

So I figured, why not?

So, I bought the Final Fantasy VII Remake + Rebirth bundle on Steam for around ¥5,000, which honestly ain’t too bad in this economy.

I’m writing this after playing through both games (and even went back to replay the OG FF7) so I’ve had some time to reflect about the experience as a whole.
